Join Tom Presnell of Three Dragon’s Way for an introductory session on the mindful movement practice of Tai Chi.
Westerners have been obsessed with ancient Egyptian mummies for more than two thousand years. They’ve been bought and sold, burned as firewood, ground up for medicine and forced the chase Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz around the desert, yet what do we really know about mummies and mummification.
Join Egyptologist and the Kansas City Public Library outreach librarian Patrick Salland and learn how and why ancient Egyptians mummified their dead. Please be aware that this presentation will feature images of deceased humans and may not be suitable for everyone.
