All locations will open late at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 5, due to icy road conditions.
Fibers of Being, a curated exhibition honoring Weavers Guild of Kansas City’s 70th anniversary, displays 20 works ranging from wearable to experimental, honoring both tradition and innovation.
Guild members will be on-site for this fiber arts lab, demonstrating various weaving methods. The drop-in style session is open to all ages and skill levels. Watch the artists at work or give it a try. Beginner handloom kits provided first come, first served.
Since 1954, the Guild has focused on promoting fiber arts – weaving, spinning, felting, crochet, knitting, and rug hooking – through meetings, demonstrations, and workshops in basic and advanced techniques.
