Artist and educator Melanie Johnson creates large-scale figurative drawings and paintings that examine psychological narrative themes. In the exhibition, Time and Place, Johnson continues to explore the relationship between flora, fauna, and the female figure.
Drop in anytime between 1-3 p.m. to the Rocky and Gabriella Mountain Gallery for a freeform collage and drawing workshop led by Johnson with a focus on the natural world. Take inspiration from the works that line the gallery walls, and create your own works of art.
Collage art involves assembling images, textures, and materials into something new. It’s not about creating something perfect but about enjoying the process.
This workshop is open to both beginning and experienced artists of all ages. Provided materials include scissors, glue, construction paper, pencils, charcoal, pastels, and drawing paper. First-come, first-served.
