Poetry Workshop: Write Like Mary Oliver

“Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” Well known for evocative imagery celebrating nature and reflections about inner consciousness, there’s a good reason Mary Oliver won the Pulitzer Prize and National Book Award. In this class, we will study Oliver’s poetic devices such as style, form and imagery, as well as dip into the Romanticism period.

This class is taught by a graduate student in the University of Missouri-Kansas City’s MFA Program in Creative Writing.
