Poetry on the Page

Poetry is not only about word choice; it’s also about how the words lay on the page. This class will explore poetic forms that emphasize how the words look on the page, such as concretion poetry and erasure poetry. We will read poems by e.e. cummings, George Herbert, Robert Hollander, and Destiny O. Birdsong.

This class is taught by a graduate student in the University of Missouri-Kansas City’s MFA Program in Creative Writing.
