KC Pop-Up Book Group

Series: Pride Month

The Kansas City Star and the Kansas City Public Library are relaunching the FYI Book Club as the KC Pop-Up Book Group.

The next selection is Let Them Stare by Jonathan Van Ness and Julie Murphy. New high school graduate Sully is desperate to leave home, and an amazing local thrift-store handbag seems valuable enough to be a ticket out. Except for one thing – the item is haunted by the ghost of a 1950s drag performer.

Hear from Jonathan and Julie at their book launch at the Central Library on May 19. Signed copies of the book will be available for purchase from local bookstore Under the Cover, who will also be hosting the book group discussion.

Under the Cover, 607 E 31st St, Kansas City, MO 64109
