Flash Fiction: The Short Short Story

In this course, learn how to write a complete story in under 1000 words. We will study “Sticks” by George Saunders, as well as other short-form writers, to examine the elements of brevity, plot, and surprise. Take class time to emulate these tactics in your own very short story.

This class is taught by a graduate student in the University of Missouri-Kansas City’s MFA Program in Creative Writing.
