A Child's Christmas in Wales

Recorded by Dylan Thomas in 1952 and published in book form two years later, A Child’s Christmas in Wales endures as one of the Welsh poet’s most popular works in prose. It’s a wistful reminiscence of Christmas from the viewpoint of a young boy, capturing all aspects of the season.

A little more than two weeks before Christmas, members of Kansas City’s Equity Actors' Readers' Theatre (EARTh) deliver two script-in-hand performances of Thomas’ enchanting piece. Each presentation runs 40 minutes.

Co-presented by the Equity Actors' Readers' Theatre, which offers infrequently produced, large-cast plays in a concert-style, staged reading format.

An additional performance follows at 3:30 p.m.

This event is co-sponsored by: Equity Actors' Readers' Theatre
