Library’s Popular Writing Classes Return
The Kansas City Public Library’s online classes for beginning and intermediate-level writers return the week of September 26, 2022, with sessions on screenwriting and sharing personal stories. Taught by John Ingle and Thomas White – graduate students in the University of Missouri-Kansas City MFA Program in Creative Writing – the entire lineup will be offered online.
The Library also is preparing to start production on a series of short videos in which fellow UMKC graduate student Hayley Brown, who is also assisting with the Library's Maya Angelou literary award, provides tutoring on eliminating common writing mistakes.
RSVPs are required for the classes, using the links below. Space is limited, and participants will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
