This class gives you the tools to take your anecdotes from yawns to fascinating yarns -- through workshops, interactive lessons, and thoughtful prompts.

We’ll cover concise writing, the art of deft editing, and incorporating the potent mechanisms of fiction and myth to frame your true narratives.

Forms can range from memoir to podcast, short bio, spoken word performances, and more.

Class Meeting Time (throughout term)

Tuesdays, September 27 - December 13 | 6-8 p.m.

This class is taught by Thomas White, a graduate student in the University of Missouri-Kansas City MFA Program in Creative Writing. The class is made possible by proceeds from the 2021 Writers for Readers fundraising event.
