Waldo Branch Closed Due to Likely COVID-19 Exposure
Tuesday, December 15, 2020
Waldo Branch (201 East 75th Street, Kansas City, MO 64114) is closing until further notice after learning a staff member was likely exposed to COVID-19. That staff member most recently worked December 9, 14, and 15.
While exposure risks are minimized by the Library’s health and safety protocols, including mask and social distancing requirements, all visitors to the Waldo Branch during that time period are being contacted.
All other branch employees also have been alerted, and a cleaning crew will sanitize the space. The Waldo Branch will reopen once the Library can conduct contact tracing, complete the cleaning, and ensure adequate staffing. The Library continues to offer Wi-Fi for free outside the building.
Kids Café services are also suspended at the branch but will remain available at the Bluford Branch.
