Author Deb Olin Unferth discusses her new memoir about the year she spent in Central America looking for a revolution to help “foment.”
In 1987, Unferth followed her boyfriend George as he headed south of the border in search of “revolution jobs.” Despite their earnest commitment to revolutionary causes, the couple found themselves unwanted, unhelpful, and unprepared for life in Central America.
