Urban forestry advocate David Nowak discusses planning efforts to advance an urban and community forest plan in Kansas City.
Nowak is a project leader for the Forestry Service at the Northeast Forest Research Station, where he has developed modeling software to quantify the benefits of urban trees β in terms of energy conservation and the impact on ground-level ozone.
