Bill Braniff discusses the terrorist threat faced by the United States and explains how close examination of the environments in which terrorist organizations operate is crucial to understanding the global Salafi-jihadi movement on Tuesday, March 30, at 6:30 p.m. at the Central Library, 14 W. 10th St.
An instructor at the Combating Terrorism Center at West Point, Braniff will explain the roots of the al-Qa´ida ideology, as well as the political landscape and the theological context in which it operates.
The event is co-sponsored by the Hauptmann School for Public Affairs at Park University and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Missouri.
