Noted humorist Roy Blount Jr. discusses Alphabetter Juice, the follow up to the critically acclaimed Alphabet Juice.
Blount scours the Oxford English Dictionary and other respectable sources, compiling his own lexicon of terms that pique his interest, and then digresses into history lessons, grammatical rants (“you-all” is not singular), miscellaneous peeves (Karl Rove’s prose and people who think somebody else wrote Shakespeare’s plays), and a shaggy dog story he just wants to tell.
Blount is the author of 23 books on subjects ranging from the first woman president of the United States to what barnyard animals are thinking.
