Kansas City Star reporter Brian Burnes presents a multimedia look at his new book The Ike Files: Mementos of the Man and His Era from Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, at the Central Library, 14 W. 10th St.

The event is co-sponsored by The Kansas City Star and the Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum in Abilene, Kansas.

The program will feature images from the book and remarks by Burnes; Eisenhower Library representatives James Leyerzapf and Chalsea Milner; and Monroe Dodd, an editor at The Kansas City Star.

Published by StarBooks, The Ike Files is a full-color compilation of images, documents, and artifacts housed at the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum. Known for leading America to victory in World War II and his years as president, Eisenhower also was a husband and father of two boys. The Ike Files delves into both his professional and personal life.
