Here Where You Wish: Pulling Back the Curtain

Presented By
Ryan Wilks

With its curtained pathway, gentle musical accompaniment, and sense of spirituality, Here Where You Wish is one of the Library’s more immersive and ambitious exhibitions.

The artist who conceived it, Ryan Wilks, discusses its creation and his aspiration to create a nondenominational space for personal expression and reflection. Visitors to the exhibition are encouraged to leave objects of personal significance and write wishes. Wilks explores the philosophy of a wish, demystifying the magic we all possess to carry out our will and offering tools for overcoming fear and the voice inside us that says “you can’t.”

The exhibit is on display in the Central Library’s Rocky and Gabriella Mountain Gallery through mid-June.
