A Conversation With Tom Barbash

Presented By
Tom Barbash, Whitney Terrell

With an award-winning novel, best-selling collection of short stories, and a nonfiction best-seller (On Top of the World: Cantor Fitzgerald, Howard Lutnick, and 9/11: A Story of Loss and Renewal), Tom Barbash knows no literary bounds.

His latest book, The Dakota Winters, blends fact and fiction, revolving around the iconic New York City apartment building that was home to luminaries including former Beatle John Lennon.

The New York-born author, who teaches writing at California College of the Arts, joins University of Missouri-Kansas City associate professor, novelist, and Writers at Work series organizer Whitney Terrell in a public conversation about his work. The series is co-sponsored by the Writers at Work Round Table and UMKC English Department.
