The second-floor Rocky and Gabriella Mountain Gallery offers the exhibit Cattle, Cowboys and Culture: Kansas City and Amarillo, Building an Urban West, which illuminates the historical, cattle-driven connections between Kansas City and the Texas Panhandle city of Amarillo. In the first-floor Genevieve Guldner Gallery, This Is for La Raza features a new collection of works by one of Kansas City’s most exciting young visual artists, Rodolfo Marron III.

Get into the holiday mood with activities for all ages, including book giveaways and refreshments. The Central Library’s ukelele club “ukes the halls” with musical covers of holiday standards. And a certain bearded, red-clad figure may make a jolly appearance among the stacks.
