Ten finalists in the Alterra Alliance Project contest – which will provide one KC-area entrepreneurial start-up with $10,000 cash and a host of business and professional services – deliver their “elevator speech” to a public audience and a panel of judges comprised of Kansas City business leaders, who will then announce the winner immediately afterward.
Created by Alterra Bank, the Alliance Project is sponsored and supported by bizperc, CBIZ, Kazoo Marketing, The Roasterie, Social Media Club of Kansas City, Stinson Morrison Hecker LLP, Whiskey Design and Will Gregory Public Relations.
The Alliance Project has evaluated businesses less than five years old based on a variety of criteria and narrowed down 50 original entrants to 10 entrepreneurs chosen to give a two minute presentation on why their company is Kansas City’s next great business. The finalists include CarCar Motorsports/IndyKart USA, Client Kudos, LearningABILITIES, Life Equals, Linger, Medicalbilladvocates.com, PrepsKC, Riega Foods, TITLE Boxing Club, and Vazquez Commercial Contracting.
Major funding for programs at the Kansas City Public Library is provided by a generous grant from the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation.
