Professional Writing: Resumes and Cover Letters

Job applications can be frustrating. What exactly should you include in your resume, cover letter, and other application materials? What is the best blend of skills, experience, and education? This class aims to demystify the job application process.

We will cover:

  • Resume dos and don’ts
  • The formula for a perfect cover letter
  • How to approach additional application prompts
  • General tips and tricks to make your professional writing sound truly professional

This class is taught by a graduate student in the University of Missouri-Kansas City’s MFA Program in Creative Writing.
