All Library locations will be closed Monday, January 20, for Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday.
If you’ve used the phrase, “That was pure poetry,” then you’ll know poetry is more than just craft. It can also create an effable, beautiful, almost beyond-words experience. This class will examine the elusive aspects of poetry, like subconsciousness, dreams, intuition, and feeling. We will read from poets including Arthur Rimbaud and Mary Oliver.
This class is taught by a graduate student in the University of Missouri-Kansas City’s MFA Program in Creative Writing.
