Meet artist Heidi Pitre, whose exhibition A Permanent Record is on view in the Mountain Gallery. You’ll have a chance to “time travel” by creating art on classic library checkout cards. Pitre will share her artwork, explain her creative process, and talk about how librarians once cataloged books using the same checkout cards featured in the exhibition. Participants can then choose their favorite book titles and make an old-school checkout card, adding their own drawing. It’s a fun way to celebrate the books (and librarians) you love through art.
All materials are provided. No experience is necessary. Ages 8-13. Space is limited, so sign up soon.
