Award winning author Derrick Barnes celebrates the publication of his new picture book, I Got You. Already receiving numerous starred reviews, I Got You captures the bonds of brotherhood and abounding black joy.
Originally from Kansas City, Derrick previously worked at the Kansas City Public Library bringing the joy of books and stories to child development centers in the city. Now he is the recipient of a Newbery Honor, a Coretta Scott King Honor, the Kirkus prize, the Ezra Jack Keats Award, and a finalist for the National Book Award. Let's have a book release party full of joy!
