The Library's Southeast Branch, 6242 Swope Parkway, will restore Pop In/Pick Up service on Wednesday, December 23, 2020. This will provides patrons with an opportunity to retrieve available holds at this location before the  Library’s systemwide holiday closures begins on December 24.

The location was temporarily closed December 12 after a likely exposure to COVID-19 tied to a visit by a patron. The building has been sanitized, and the Library has conducted contact tracing.
 
The entire Kansas City Public Library system will pause operations over the holidays from December 24, 2020 through January 3, 2021. Library locations currently in operation, including the Waldo Branch, will resume available services on Monday, January 4.
