Global Entrepreneurship Week closes as Library Director Crosby Kemper III conducts a public conversation with Clara Reyes, founder of the Kansas City bilingual newspaper, Dos Mundos.

A native of Mexico, Reyes quickly discovered upon moving to the Kansas City metropolitan area that routine American tasks did not come easy for residents who were unfamiliar with the English language. After several years, Reyes founded Dos Mundos in 1981 as a bilingual newspaper to educate Hispanics on handling necessary American tasks. The award-winning newspaper’s growth has mirrored that of the Hispanic community in Kansas City. It has a circulation of over 20,000 and a mission to be an innovative, beneficial source of information and education.

Admission to the conversation with Reyes is free. A light buffet at 11:30 a.m. precedes the presentation.

The event is co-sponsored by Truman Medical Centers and will be broadcast live on KYYS 1250 AM.
