A sprawling field of mayoral candidates. Less than two weeks to sort them out.
Nearing Kansas City’s April 2 primary, the eight leading candidates to succeed outgoing Mayor Sly James gather for a public forum soliciting their stands on the city’s most pressing issues. Nick Haines of KCPT-Kansas City PBS moderates. Audience members can get involved, submitting their own questions.
Participating candidates, all of whom registered at least 5 percent support in either Missouri Scout or Remington Research polling: city council member Alissia Canady, community developer Phil Glynn, council member Jolie Justus, council member Quinton Lucas, former Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission Chairman Steve Miller, city council member Jermaine Reed, council member Scott Taylor, and council member Scott Wagner.
The event will air later on KCPT.
Co-presented by the Black Community Fund.
