2025: Color Our World

The Library’s annual summer film series returns with a fresh lineup of FREE outdoor movies. The Young Friends of the Library will provide free popcorn and beer (while supplies last).

To celebrate this year's Summer Reading theme, Color Our World, the 2025 Off the Wall rooftop series features films that embrace the power of joy and creativity in different hues.

Whether it’s Chicago high school outcasts getting harassed by popular kids, a housewife who gains confidence from a nursing home resident's stories of the past, a research facility where the sharks get loose, or a king's efforts to defeat rivals and keep his people safe, these stories will remind you how vivid every color of the rainbow can be.

Co-presented by Young Friends of the Kansas City Public Library.
