This new group exhibit, presented by Kansas City’s Plug Projects in partnership with the Library, features local and national artists who explore text and language as they relate to both medium and content. Their drawings, paintings, collages, and mixed media images bridge the space between book and art object. The exhibit opens in conjunction with its third annual art book fair in Plug Projects’ West Bottoms gallery. Plug Projects, a collaboration among five Kansas City artists, is designed to energize both artists and the community by presenting challenging new work, triggering critical dialogue, and expanding the connections of local artists to a wider, nationwide network of peers.
