Library Giving Day was April 1! Your support ensures that all Kansas Citians have access to books, eBooks, audiobooks, and library services.
Author Zachary Karabell examines Chester Alan Arthur, who was propelled into the presidency by the assassination of James Garfield and turned his back on the patronage system that had nurtured him.
Karabell is a historian, money manager, and economist. The World Economic Forum has designated Karabell a “Global Leader for Tomorrow”; he sits on the boards of the World Policy Institute and the New America Foundation. Among his many books of history are a biography of Chester Alan Arthur and The Last Campaign: How Harry Truman Won the 1948 Election.
