The Westport Historical Society Speaker Series seeks to promote and foster public interest in and preserve the significance of local history.

Speaker: Steve Noll

Join us at the Westport Branch Library for a presentation from Steve Noll, Executive Director of the Jackson County Historical Society. Mr. Noll will be sharing a program based on the recent book Cowtown by Ed Matheny Jr. Iconic West Bottom topics include the American Royal, Kemper Arena, Golden Ox, floods and stockyards.

Mr. Noll, a resident of Prairie Village has served as both Executive Director of the Jackson County Historical Society and as Chairman of the American Royal Barbecue. Mr. Noll is a graduate of Kansas University and is currently serving on the Prairie Village City Council.
