Described as "a vital new voice in American fiction," Kansas City resident Doug Worgul presents his novel Thin Blue Smoke, a tale of redemption that focuses on love and loss, hope and despair, God and whiskey, barbeque and the blues.
Set in present-day Kansas City, the humorous and soulful novel features complex characters such as an ex-big league ballplayer/felon, an Episcopal priest running from his past, two lost souls looking for love, a past-her-prime blues singer, and an old-school Texas barbeque man.
The book will be available for sale.
Special Contest: RSVP to enter a drawing for a free copy of Worgul's book, plus a $25 giftcard to Oklahoma Joe's BBQ. The winner will be announced at the event and must be present to collect.
