Library Giving Day was April 1! Your support ensures that all Kansas Citians have access to books, eBooks, audiobooks, and library services.
Local children’s advocates SuEllen Fried and Blanche Sosland present a strategy to reduce the pain, rage, and revenge cycle of bullying on Tuesday, September 14, at 6:30 p.m. at the Plaza Branch, 4801 Main St.
Their techniques are developed from hands-on interaction with educators, parents, and students.
The core of their book, Banishing Bullying Behavior, is the Student Empowerment Session, which has been crafted and refined for 15 years. This powerful system of questions has affected dramatic changes in children’s insights about their behavior.
The book also explores cyber bullying, “mean girls,” and parents who refuse to accept that their children are bullies.
Copies of Banishing Bullying Behavior will be available for sale, and the authors will sign copies purchased during the event.
