Celebrate the Grand Reopening of the Newly Renovated Lucile H. Bluford Branch
Saturday, March 6 • 10 a.m. Ribbon cutting celebration at the Bluford Branch, 3050 Prospect Avenue, featuring special guest Guion Bluford -- the nephew of civil rights pioneer Lucile Bluford and America’s first black astronaut in space -- and a host of local dignitaries.

A discussion focusing on the April Kansas City School Board elections, hosted by KCUR 89.3 FM’s KC Currents, a magazine-style show covering Kansas City’s minority communities. This event will take place at the Bluford Branch, 3050 Prospect Avenue.
