Archivists Randy Roberts and Shannon Julien discuss their new book Pittsburg State University: A Photographic History of the First 100 Years on Wednesday, September 15, at 6:30 p.m. at the Central Library, 14 W. 10th St.
The book chronicles the dynamic first century and changing culture of Pittsburg State University, from its start in 1903 as the Auxiliary Manual Training Normal School to an institution with more than 100 academic programs, 7,000 students, and the only gorilla mascot among American universities.
The event is co-sponsored by the Pittsburg State University Office of Alumni and Constituent Relations.
Copies of Pittsburg State University will be available for sale, and the authors will sign copies purchased during the event.
