Kansas City Repertory Theatre presents the regional premiere of One of the Good Ones at Copaken Stage in downtown Kansas City, Missouri. The show runs from February 17 through March 8, then will tour a variety of community locations. The professionally staged performance is free through the KCRep for All initiative.
Entertainment Weekly calls this new comedy “genuinely funny, topical, and heartfelt.” The story focuses on the ups and downs of family dynamics when the “perfect” Latina daughter brings her boyfriend home to meet her parents, sparking tensions and testing expectations. The play is written by Gloria Calderón Kellett, co-creator and showrunner of Netflix’s One Day at a Time.
KCRep launched KCRep for All in 2022 to make theater more accessible. This free community tour presents professional, reimagined productions at community centers, libraries, and senior centers throughout the Kansas City metro area.
This program is intended for individuals 13 years of age or older.
