A string quartet from the Kansas City Symphony provides a free lunchtime concert on Tuesday, November 11, at noon at the Plaza Branch, 4801 Main St.
Symphony violinists Anthony DeMarco and Sunho Kim lead this string ensemble – including violist Jessica Nance and cellist Alexander East – in a program including compositions by Handel and Rachmaninov as well as a tango by Astor Piazzolla – all selections from the upcoming Symphony concert schedule. Audience members may enter a drawing for one pair of complimentary tickets to a Kansas City Symphony performance.
The Plaza Branch event is a Community Connections Concert, a Kansas City Symphony program that affords its musicians increased creative freedom thus providing a unique experience for their audience. These performances further the Symphony’s mission to advance and advocate the art of classical music for the enrichment of our community.
