The Kansas City Repertory Theatre brings its adaptation of Nina Simone: Four Women to the North-East Branch for the second of three productions to be held at Kansas City Public Library locations.
Nina Simone: Four Women, written by Christina Ham and directed by Malkia Stampley, imagines how the iconic chanteuse gave voice to countless Black women fighting to overcome stereotypes and racism.
All three presentations are part of the 2024 KCRep for All community tour. KCRep for All breaks down economic and geographic barriers and makes theater more accessible to people across Kansas City. The project is supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts.
