As a renowned conductor, and as a scholar, teacher, and author, Jane Glover’s command of classical music is unparalleled. Her more than four-decade career includes seven years as director of London’s Royal Academy of Music, and she has served as music director of Chicago’s Music of the Baroque—a professional orchestra and chorus devoted to the performance of 18th-century works—since 2002.
She’ll be in Kansas City in March as conductor for four performances of Mozart’s Cosí Fan Tutte at the Lyric Opera. Setting the stage, Glover visits the Library to discuss her two books, Mozart’s Women: His Family, His Friends, His Music and Handel in London: The Making of a Genius.
Glover is joined by internationally-renowned tenor Vinson Cole.
