Library Giving Day is April 1! Your support ensures that all Kansas Citians have access to books, eBooks, audiobooks, and library services.
The Library screens a series of romantic shorts and clips as it resumes a special new, intergenerational movie series welcoming individuals with dementia, their friends, and families.
Featured are two Disney-produced romantic comedies, 2012’s Paperman and 2014’s Feast, both Oscar winners for best animated short. Also screened are the ballroom scene from Cinderella and the library scene from the hit 1962 musical The Music Man.
Attendees then can make paper airplanes (which figure prominently in the Paperman storyline) and enjoy a ballroom dancing demonstration.
This event is co-sponsored by: Kansas City FilmFest, the Heart of America chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, and The Creativity Connection
