A leader of the pro-democracy opposition in his native Russia, Kasparov campaigned unsuccessfully for the presidency in 2008. He is a popular speaker for business groups around the world on topics of strategy, innovation, and leadership. He is the author of How Life Imitates Chess, which has been published in more than a dozen languages.
