The Kansas City Baseball Historical Society will host a Panel Discussion, with former members of the Kansas City A’s Baseball Club and Library Director Crosby Kemper III at the Town Pavilion, 1100 Main, 32nd Floor.
This program is a follow-up to the Library special event, Remembering the Kansas City Athletics, which took place on June 19, 2008, at the Plaza Branch.
This event will be free to the public, and donations to the KCBHS will be accepted. The Town Pavilion meeting space is being provided through the generosity of Copaken, White & Blitt Developers.

In addition, over 25 former players from the Kansas City Athletics (1955-1967) will be also be honored on Saturday, August 8, by the Kansas City T-Bones game at Community America Ball Park.

Remembering the Kansas City Athletics
The panel discussion included former Athletics team members Jerry Lumpe and Wayne Causey, documentary producers Linda Haskins and Dave Pomeroy, and local Kansas City Athletics historian Jeff Logan. The panel was moderated by Crosby Kemper III, director of the Kansas City Public Library.
Inside the Park: An Exhibit of Souvenir Baseball Programs
The exhibit was derived from Kansas Citian John Nickel’s collection. Nickel presented an illustrated talk about his collection and selected programs chosen for the exhibit on Friday, October 17, at 6 p.m. at the Central Library, 14 W. 10th St.
