The Kansas City Baroque Consortium offers a free Mother’s Day concert, exploring the music of J.S. Bach and his world. Learn about his early sojourn to visit the great composer and organist Dietrich Buxtehude, and his friendships with composers Telemann, Hasse, and Abel, as well as the influence of his composer-sons.

The acclaimed period ensemble launched in 2009 as the city’s only early music ensemble playing centuries-old instruments.
