Houses of Missouri

Presented By
Cydney Millstein & Carol Grove

Local authors Cydney Millstein and Carol Grove will discuss their new book Houses of Missouri, 1870-1940 on Sunday, October 26, at 2 p.m. in the Truman Forum at the Plaza Branch, 4801 Main St.

With nearly 300 archival photographs, drawings, and original floor plans, Houses of Missouri offers an intimate tour behind the facades of 45 purely American houses. Among the houses featured are: Greystone, the pastoral Gothic cottage of Major Emory Foster in Pevely, and Oak Hall, the opulent mansion of William Rockhill Nelson, former publisher of The Kansas City Star.

Copies of Houses of Missouri will be available for sale, and the authors will sign copies purchased during the event.
