Less than a week before the June 18 general election, the two candidates to succeed outgoing Kansas City Mayor Sly James face off on the issues and concerns confronting the city.
Can we curb violent crime? How, and to what degree, should tax incentives be employed? What’s the route to more affordable housing?
Current city council members Jolie Justus and Quinton Lucas emerged from a crowded field of 11 mayoral hopefuls in the April primary. The candidates’ forum, in partnership with NBC affiliate KSHB-TV, Channel 41, is moderated by KSHB news anchors Christa Dubill and Kevin Holmes.
The forum will also be broadcast live on KMCI-TV 38 the Spot as well as the Library and KSHB's Facebook pages from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
