Big Night

Presented By
Manuel Morales & Clark Topjon

The 2025 Searching the Psyche Through Cinema film series investigates our relationship with food as a way of understanding ourselves. Join us for the series finale followed by a conversation.

In Big Night (R, 107 min.), two Italian immigrant brothers (Tony Shaloub and Stanley Tucci) open their dream restaurant in 1950s New Jersey. As their business struggles to compete with a rival Italian restaurant, they pin their hopes on a “big night” and a celebrity to turn things around.

Psychiatrist Manuel Morales and filmmaker and amateur chef Clark Topjon lead a post-screening discussion.
