Among the premiere chamber music groups in Kansas City, the Bach Aria Soloists return to the Kansas City Public Library for a diverse program including masterworks by Bach, Kreisler, and Paganini as well as arias by Bernstein and Gounoud on Saturday, October 11, at 7:30 p.m. in the Truman Forum at the Plaza Branch, 4801 Main St.
Led by founder and executive/artistic director Elizabeth Suh Lane, the Bach Aria Soloists will be joined by three esteemed guest artists: tenor David Adams, who has performed with the Metropolitan Opera, the New York City Opera, and the Kansas City Chamber Orchestra; guitarist Beau Bledsoe, co-founder of the flamenco music and dance school Manos Rojas and frequent collaborator with operatic tenor Nathan Granner; and Allen Probus, cellist for the Kansas City Symphony and Kansas City Chamber Orchestra.
This performance will include the introduction of a Baroque sonata discovered among the Central Library’s manuscripts housed in the Missouri Valley Special Collections Department.
This performance is made possible by a major grant from the Stern Foundation.
