Art Starts at the Library

Gallery exhibits. Kids’ activities. Music. Munchies. The Library again makes a place on First Friday for the entire family.

The Rocky and Gabriella Mountain Gallery offers Things Come Apart, an exhibit from the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service and Todd McLellan that exposes the inner workings of everyday objects. The nearby children’s area hosts activities related to the exhibit, plus LEGO building.

Visitors can take in the view from the fifth-floor Rooftop Terrace, where new informational signage offers a guide to the surrounding cityscape. Architectural historian Cydney Millstein, who researched and authored the multi-panel guide, and designer Jeffrey Isom will be on hand to answer questions.
