Art Starts at the Library

Begin your First Friday outing with a holiday-themed stop at the Central Library.

Take in Cuba Bound: Photographs by Jesse A. Fernandez, a special exhibit featuring a selection of evocative photos taken by the renowned Cuba-born photographer, in the Rocky and Gabriella Mountain Gallery.

The Genevieve Guldner Gallery, meanwhile, becomes a unique, one-night creative space for kids (and adults). They provide the artwork. Grab a colored pencil, or two or three, and draw, sketch, or write away on the white walls.

There’ll be holiday music and seasonal refreshments (hot cocoa and cider). From the Library, attendees can head to the streetcar stop at Ninth and Main streets for a quick lift to further First Friday offerings in the Crossroads Arts District.
