Join us for the closing reception for the 12th annual Art in the Loop, a curated outdoor exhibition of temporary artworks in downtown Kansas City.
This year’s project, designed to connect downtown residents, workers, and visitors with cultural experiences, invited artists to explore the theme “Wonder.” Organizers encouraged artists to dive into their curiosity about community and how we relate to one another, and to reflect on the complexities of connection, discovery, and shared experiences that shape us.
Art directors Jade Osborne and Khyneesha Edwards discuss the artistic works and performances, which concluded in September. Musician David Luther and FireTale Theatre perform and describe how “wonder” guided their creative expression.
